awarded...no 2nd or 3rd place points will be awarded

If the same team has the
1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes, the "No Sweep" rule is in
effect. The 3rd place points (1) will be awarded to the
opposing team, however the 3rd place swimmer will receive
the 3rd place ribbon.

Ties
Points
are averaged and awarded equally. For example:
Swimmers in an individual event tie for 1st place. Each
swimmer will be awarded (5 + 3)/2, or 4 points and first
place ribbons. The 3rd swimmer will receive 1 point and the
third place ribbon.
B CONFERENCE SCORING
Earning
points at B Conference is done by swimming your personal
best, and not being disqualified (DQ'd). After the 10th dual
meet, each team must present the DSDC every swimmer's "seed
time", which is the personal best time for each event.
At B Conference, if a swimmer beats their seed time, they
earn points.
The team
score is calculated by dividing the number of personal bests
by the total number of events swam, then multiplying that
number by 100. For example, it a team brings 40 swimmers and
each swims 4 events there would be 160 total events swam. If
there were 80 personal bests swam, the team score would be
(80 Personal Bests/160 Total Events Swum) * 100 = 50 points.
DQs do not reduce the total number of events swam.
The number of events swam for each team is determined
after the Coaches scratch meeting. So swimmers: don't miss
your event! Swim a clean race, and try your hardest!
Teams are then ranked by the calculated values described
above.
Teams in the White Division are awarded points
as follows:
