Cecily Herby

Head Coach

Cecily swam for the Bartlett Barracudas for nearly a decade and the Bartlett High School Swim Team throughout high school. She has been an employee of the Bartlett Park District since 2011 and worked as an assistant swim team coach for the past two seasons. She is a recent graduate of Iowa Wesleyan University. Her goal as a coach is to give team members the best experience while helping them reach their full potential.

Rachel Tomazin

Assistant Coach

Rachel has swam for the Bartlett Barracudas throughout her swimming career. She has swam club for Bartlett Electrix Swim Team, Academy Bullets, and four years on the BHS Varsity swim team. She is going to be a Junior at Illinois Wesleyan University this fall where she is studying Psychology, Pre-Occupational Therapy, and is also swimming, receiving her second varsity letter this season. She has been working for the Bartlett Park District for four years as a swim instructor and one year as an assistant swim coach for the Barracudas. Rachel is excited to push swimmers to their fullest potential and help them achieve their goals, while having fun in the process.

Grant Gilchrist

Assistant Coach

Coach Grant swam for the Barracudas for eight years before graduating and attending Truman State University where he graduated with a degree in English and a focus in secondary education. During his time at Truman, Grant swam for the school’s team all four years as a distance freestyler. Last summer Grant was also one of the coaches for the Academy Bullets and completed his fifth year as an instructor for the park district. He believes that swimming is a great sport to help kids develop discipline and a hard work drive, but also make new friends and have fun.

Emily Trenn

Assistant Coach

Emily is a senior at UW-Whitewater, studying Elementary Education with a minor in ESL. She will be participating in her 4th year of swimming for the UW-Whitewater Swim and Dive team in the fall. She also swam for Bartlett Barracudas for several seasons and for Bartlett Electrix Swim Team and Academy Bullets. She has been a staff member at the Bartlett Park District since 2012, teaching swim lessons. Her goal for this season is to help the swimmers have fun and achieve their goals.
