About Meets

HOME MEETS
Swimmers must be checked-in and ready to swim 1.5 hours before the start of the meet.  If a swimmer is not checked in by the end of home-team warm-up, the swimmer will be removed from the meet line-up completely.

AWAY MEETS
Swimmers must be checked-in and ready to swim 1 hour before the start of the meet.  If a swimmer is not checked in by the end of away-team warm-up, the swimmer will be removed from the meet line-up completely.

ALL SWIM MEETS

  • The coaches want every swimmer to swim each event at least once.  We do keep track, and our goal is to have every swimmer swim each event legally. So, the only reason a swimmer will be excused from an event is if the swimmer or parent presents a doctor's note stating that the swimmer cannot swim the event because of a medical reason.

  • The coaches will not change events, relays or relay order on the day of a meet.

  • The coaches watch every event, and we want to see each swimmer after they’ve finished their race so we can offer encouragement and tips on how to improve their start, stroke, turn, or finish.

  • Swimmers should only wear their team suits to meets; regular wear to practice will stretch them out before the end of the season.

LOST AND FOUND

  • If Barracuda belongings are left at an away meet and/or in our team area, a coach usually has them – just ask.
  • If Barracuda belongings are left at the Bartlett pool, please check the pool lost and found.
